Has anyone run 235/85 tires?

I have four new ones in the barn for my old pickup that is two years in the process of being restored. I don't like the AT tires that came on my current Ex, so am thinking about these. They are a narrower track, so should get better MPG and be better in snow. They are the same diameter so my speedo should stay right and the look should be the same.

Right??

Right, I like them myself and some people run them. They are just skinnier looking straight on but fit the 7" wheels fine..........good in the snow too.

Got any pictures? I really don't want to throw them on and then decide they look stupid.

You'll notice a difference in look... they will be better in snow... if you're trying to get it back on the road ASAP then put them on... if you're willing to wait for wider tires then wait... as long as they're E load who cares...

Just elaborating for the old guy

Edit: While skinnier tires generally act better in snow (I'm from Quebec... trust me) without knowing the brand/model or wear on the tires none of us can confirm said snow performance.

So what if they did, a lot of people run them and 245's, I might just get some next time.

I had them on my old truck when i first bought it, they looked awful... even on a 100% stock 2003 F250. Put some all terrain 265/75/16 on it and that was better but a 285 would have really looked good stock height

I actually wonder if they won't look better on the exes because of the lower amount of lift they have. My new one hasn't had any Spring mods done except the RAS in the back.

yup i had 235/85s on my old '04. even with x codes and 4" blocks in the rear i think it looked fine. height is the same just nice and skinny. mine were double studded snow tires so to say the least they were awesome in the winter!

hope this helps!
