Fan clutch removal from water pump out of 95' PSD ?
Don't go to The Zone for this .....
My water pump started leaking, I ordered a new one from Auto Zone
and reserved both rental tool sets they offer for fan clutch removal
and a serpentine belt tool.
My fan clutch is original and did not want to budge.
Their tools are all worn to hell.
Ended up pulling my radiator, then my water pump assembly
because the manager of The Zone said they could pull it.
So, I went back to finish pulling my hoses.
They ended up rounding the thermal clutch nut by trying
to pull it with a worn out wrench .....
Now I have to find a machine shop or mechanic to try
and remove it .....
I am in Onley, VA

Remove the belt, put a vise grip on the lip of the water pump pulley and spin it till it hits the pump, then find a 2 foot long channel locks and remove the fan clutch. Done it on all three of mine and worked like a charm.
REMEMBER turn the nut the same direction the fan turns!!!! I fought mine for 20 minutes one day before I realized I was going the wrong way
