Sounds more like a turbo issue. I dont know enough about injectors to say wat looks good and what doesnt. How many miles on them? Since you already have them out might as well have rosewood diesel turn them in to stage 1's.
There may be a turbo problem, but I think there is an injector issue, as there was something going on with these three injectors. If the turbo caused this problem, wouldn't it have affected all eight, not just three. I'm ready to upgrade to Stage 1's, but don't want to install them until I know I won't fry them as well. I wonder if I didn't seat them correctly when I installed them three months ago with new o-rings?
To me, it looks as if the injectors came loose letting compression by the copper ring on the bottom of the injector. As Glen asked, were thehold down bolts tight?
When you removed them was the hold down bolt tight? Did the truck run good the first couple of months after install?
The truck ran well after the first couple of months, except I recently had hard start problem with lot's of white smoke. I fixed that with a new Stancor GPR. Interestingly, when we started the trip last week, my wife mentioned the truck didn't "FEEL" like it was operating at full power... like it was operating at 97%, ok, but just not the same.

The bolts were snug, not loose, but not tight. They didn't seem different from the others. I wonder if I just didn't seat them quite far enough. I know I torqued them to 120 in lbs. I kind of agree with you that somehow someway, the injectors weren't seated correctly initially, the bolts weren't torqued correctly, or the bolts somehow worked loose allowing blowby from the combustion chamber.
