Back home from work and into the shed spent most of the day measure measure measure but confident I now have the jag front end in the right spot and started making the mounting brackets
Played around with some patina ideas to match in after the rust repairs

And finished off with a couple of cold ones watching the sun go down

Back into it again, have all the marks and measurements to soft mount the ifs so dropped the front and rear ends on the ground and started the chassis clean up set up the rotisserie on it and turned it over, just love things that make jobs easier
started making up the mounting brackets for the front end

Well the mounts are finished and now welded in place

Made up the main crossmember for the K frame and have cut all the boxing plates ready to go, turn the chassis back over tomorrow and mount up the front end

Well turned the chassis over and with a wiggle and a couple of taps the front end mounted up real nice

Got stuck in this morning and made up the shock mounts

Small modification to this one for the chassis number

Filled in the front cross member just to neaten it up

Thanks Dan and Scott, trying to get as much done as I can while I'm home working away has its good points but also its bad, means I got to squeeze as much as I can in before I'm off again, anyway welded in the back cross member and started boxing in the frame
Surprising how long it takes just doing that bit at a time so it doesn't get to hot, and once again finished off the day cleaning up

For sure put the cab on to check.....to me it looks like your engine is way too far back, unless you plan on a firewall recess. You can move the radiator support to the forward set of holes and gain a couple inches.

Hey Thanks Scott good eyes you got there, mounted the cab and moved the radiator to the forward mounting holes and is still a little tight,
I can still bring the motor back another inch which is what i will do , apart from that it looks fairly good sitting in there, got about just under 2 inches from the sump to cross member, was worried i might have to look at rear sump hump.
Set the carb mounting face to 0 degrees which i have heard gives a 3 to 5 degree angle at the transmission shaft ?
