Do you talk to your truck? Have a name for it?

I talk to my truck constantly, call her "her", I tell her to relax when I want her to up shift etc, my ex girlfriend thought it was weird, she owned an infinity QX4 that her parents bought her, heated seats, push button 4x4, moonroof, electric mirrors, 5 disc CD-player, just freakin loaded. She didn't understand why I love a truck 7 years older than myself with a bench seat, wind up windows, a broken cassette player, and rust over the wheel wells. Still can't figure out why we broke up

A few months back, I drove a 2011 Ford Superduty for a day. It was very "nice," but other than the massive power it had (6.7 diesel), I hated every single thing about it. It's the worst thing I've driven so far.
My boss has an '86 F-150. Junked out, the interior is torn apart, the rear sliding window doesn't close, prettymuch only used for work around the shop, dump runs, towing his boat, and picking up cases of wine. It's terrible by every measure, and I love it. I very nearly bought it after borrowing it for a week, and probably would have if the PO of my truck wasn't willing to sell.
I'm at a point in my life right now where I can pay more attention to my vehicle and I don't need absolute perfect reliability, so I may as well drive something that I enjoy, right? You're only young and kid-free for so long

Some of my vehicles have had names, other than what the manufacturer called it. The names have sometimes come from the kids or co-workers but most have come from me. My 83 F150 was Old Red, an extended Mopar van was the Queen Mary, and so on.
My current truck is a 95 F150 with almost 250k showing. I call it Nelly Belle and I always give it pat on the dash when she does good. It has been the most versatile and dependable truck I have ever owned being my DD and hauler but its going to be replaced soon with something newer. The engine still runs great with no leaks burning a quart just before I change it at 5k, but the rust is starting and my son gave an offer I couldn't refuse on his 05.

bashby is correct on this topic. LOL
All of our vehicles have a name they get a name the second the get on the lot the whole family names them.
The 02 F250: Big White (biggest truck and white)
The 97 Expedition: Beast 2 (beast 1 (93 F250) was sold and replaced by this so just follows)
My 88 F150: White Lightnin' (Just liked the name)
The 86 F150: Blue Jay (had to be renamed after we bought a truck (that is now sold) it used to be Boss 302)
The 89 F250: Taz (when I had it running it ran like a Tasmanian devil)
The 89 F350: Canadian Red (it is our only Canadian made truck (will be Canadian Elmo when the 4x4 conversion is done and the parts truck was baby elmo)
The 84 B2: Blue thunder (loudest truck around our area (single thrush tube not welded up)
The 85 Chevy van: Baby Blue (no reason just had it so long)
The 73 Harley: Ironhead 73.
And yes I do talk to the trucks the 86 more then most as she likes to stall out on us when we start it up. But my 88 I always talked to when I am working on it (I guess it slows me down from wanting to punch it. LOL) All the time I will go out and pat the grille after we take them for a ride.
