Vermont August 2013 BS thread - grab a lawn chair and tasty cold beverage and BS for a spell

Good morning Jim and the rest of you Vermont woodchuck wannabees. We're headed over the hump and into a bit of wet weather so get your galoshes out.
Jim, concrete cures better with a little water so get out there and start mixing it up. How is that pool project coming along? Bet the water is fairly cool - these 40 degree nights cool the pool down real quick, even with a cover. Next purchase? A pool heater!!!

Hi Shawn. I know concrete likes water to cure but kind of takes away from its durability with too much mixed in. Plus I have a couple sloped steps in it so need to keep the mix a little stiff
If look at the temp history for July you can see when we got the pool filled. Temps took nose dive and have been below average. So every is welcomed for the cooler weather. LOL

I figured you'd know concrete being an AOT guy but couldn't resist pushing a bit - you won't melt in a little rain.
