Leaking HFCM

I have been reading about others problems for years, now I have one I need input on.
I was doing my 5/10 service(oil&fuel) and doing the blue spring. My truck is 03 six liter.I changed the filter on the HFCM with the updated one with the o ring.I am using Racor filter. This the first time using the updated one.Now I have a leak coming from the cover were the pump is housed.New filter it sprays out and when I put the old filter back in it only drips.I am thinking that maybe I didn't seat the filter right and maybe cracked pump cover. The new filter did not looked crushed when I removed it.
I have not pulled my HFCM yet.
Is there a rebuild kit for these and what is the part# ?
I did a search and found nothing on this leak.It is not the filter cover, its dry all the way around.

Is the o-ring seated fully in its grove? Did you remove the old o-ring off the old cap cause it had one too?

I changed the o ring on the filter cap.It is leaking from the pump cap that's facing the front of the truck.

Sounds like it's leaking between the pump and filter housing. Wish I could help but I've never had that apart. If it were mine I'd drop the whole HFCM so I wouldn't have to roll around under there and explore how it it's put together. I do know the pump is available separately so any o-rings or gaskets should be available from your local ford man.

OK cleaned the HFCM up and started the truck up.Can see were the pump cover is being pushed out under pressure.
I cann't find a part # for the pump. Is there a gasket kit for the HFCM?
A new HFCM is any where from $450.-$280.

Notes from recent posts:

Pump ONLY portion of the HFCM
PFP58054 - Parker-Hannifin
HFP964 - Delphi
AIRTEX Part # E2340

HFCM part #:
6C3Z-9G282-C

Options for the fuel pump only:

PFP58054 - Parker-Hannifin (Racor)
HFP964 - Delphi
AIRTEX Part # E2340

6C3Z-9G282-AA is an older part number for Ford's entire HFCM (which contains the actual fuel pump). This part was superceded by part number 6C3Z-9G282-C. You can get the updated part from Ford for around $280. The ebay HFCM is no bargain IMO.

The part numbers I gave you in the previous post are for the pump by itself.

The pump itself is around $175.

HFCM Drain Plug # 6E7Z-9C082-A

Update on MY leaking HFCM.
First off Thanks to Autonation Ford White Bear Lake(Tousley) for getting out my HFCM and hardness.Great price.
The leak was due to a missing head on one of the screws for the pump. With the o ring on the updated filter, there was just enough pressure to move the pump cover.
Took longer to pull the drive line and skid plate than to replace the HFCM. Have not taked apart the old one yet,but my fuel filters have always been clean.Only buy fuel at high volume dealers and never when getting a load of new fuel.
