Taillights not working on 05 F250

Hi guys,

I have a 2005 F250 5.4 3V Triton work truck that the tail lights will not work on. When I turn my lights on, the front running lights come on but no tail lights. I have brake lights, turn signals, emergency flashers, but no tail lights. I have checked all my fuses, checked the wiring and even replaced the bulbs, but still no tail lights. I turned my lights on and pulled the fuse that powered them and the parking lamps on the front went off, I replaced the fuse and they came back on but still no tail lights. I got pulled over by a state trooper because of it so I would really like to get to the bottom of this.

Any suggestions on what it could be? I'm at a loss for what it could be.

Thanks again,

Jon Preston

Hi,

Couple of thoughts.
- The socket for the bulb itself may be corrodedor otherwise defective.
- You could have the wrong bulb type -- probably not if they were working, but it's always a thought.

Good Luck,

hj
