Over Drive light stays on solid, any clues?

It has happened twice now in the last four days, I will notice that the O/D light is on solid. The truck and transmission seem to be working fine. Fluid level is good and pink, no engine temperature problems, ect. If I press the O/D button it still kicks the lock up in and out as always. The light came on Sunday while traveling down to Texas. Restarting after a fuel stop the light remained off the rest of the day. Then today I noticed it was on again. Any suggestions? The transmission was bullet proofed by BTS about 15,000 miles ago.

You talking about the speed sensor? If that is the problem won't my speedometer and cruise be messing up also?

It isn't the speed sensor. That cannot make the light come on solid. If it had a problem it would make the light flash, not be on solid.

I think the wire to the light has worn through in the steering column. If you remove the plastic cover from the column you can see the damaged wire. Either fix it or replace the shift handle.

Thanks for the suggestions. Is there a link on how to fix this? It sounds like it could be a common problem.
