How about what is stronger 1350 joints or 1410 both on no angle..
I've said they are equal. Others say different.
I actually talked to Jess about that at high angle driveline. He says its stronger because its better supported. I dunno

A typical 1410 is 4.187" from cap to cap. A 1350 is 3.622". Since the bearing caps are the same diameter the argument could be made that the 1410 would actually be the weaker because of the added leverage on the same size cross section, all other things being equal.
Whether that small extra leverage is enough to be noticeable in use, I don't know. Also the actual journal diameter can vary between series even with the same cap OD, which would affect the strength. I have no idea if the exact same alloy and forging process and design is used between the two, which would also affect the strength. As would journal length, especially if that is what takes up all the extra ~0.5".

How's that for a long winded non0-answer?

Never seen instructions on how to lube a joint. I (on a wheeling rig) pump them tell clean grease comes out of all 4 seals. On a DD, pump them untell I get grease out all 4 seals.

The fact is most people don't maintain anything the proper way. And a lube shop is only as good as the kid they have doing the work.

Spicer actually has them on their web site. I finally had to resort to posting the link for people insisting pumping in grease until you see new grease coming from around all 4 seals would "blow the seals".

One person was so insistent, even after posting the link, I had to save a screen shot and mark it for him.
