Is anyone with a factory hood running the BTS dual hpop kit?

It mounts vertically on top of the factory pump. I am informed that it fits under the factory hood of the SD 7.3s

I am curious if it will work without having to get a cowl hood or modifying the factory hood.

I believe I have seen a guy on here running that set-up but its been awhile, and I can't remember who it was. I think he had enough room under the hood without any mods.

Why do you want to use the BTS style duals over the TE duals?

 

Yes the BTS setup will fit under the stock hood.. As will the Gen 3..

Phil - Basically a guy at work (friend of a friend) approached me and says he has the BTS kit with everything but a second IPR(and my pump) and hes asking $800.

My minds just turning. Duals opens up a lot of possibilities... im already budgeting for a trans in the next year or so cuz i think even the stage 2s will toast mine.

We'll see. Just wanted to know before i bought something that required a different hood.

Me too. lol I won't bring the truck unless it's got the 4x4 swap, trans swap, and the engine is back to making power again. lol Its starting out expensive right outta the gate!
