1951 F1 Tear Down & Restore.

What a great build! I started destruction on my 49 F1 last September, and just painted the frame a couple weeks a go. The engine (302) is all apart. I got the engine and a C6 for under $100. It's bored out .060, but will work for me, for now. Again, great work! I'd love to hear more about the the headliner and what vinyl you used!

To answer a few questions.
The roof is insulated with "Mega Mat", butyl and a layer of aluminum. I used the original cardboard headliner and removed the sewed on edging. Then covered it with automotive upholstery vinyl that matched the seats. The one piece back is "Sintra" and is covered with the same vinyl. I had the seat upholstery sewn at Automotive Interiors & Accessories for cars, trucks, vans, & suvs in Mass. They have a nice website with lots of options. I also bought the matching vinyl from them. I still am working on the door panels and armrests. The seat was completely shot and we had to replace all the padding and horse hair with new high density foam.
I had the chrome done at Salt Lake City Chrome, and yes it was about $1000.00. The pot metal pieces were actually more than half of the cost.
No it doesn't have the correct engine, but it's my truck and my choice. If I had had a modern Ford power plant I may have gone that route, but the Flathead will eventually be rebuilt and go into another project. I bought a '38 Ford Deluxe Coupe and was going to use the V8 Flathead there, but when I went to pick it up, it had a Vortec L29 7400/4L80E in it and it might stay that way.
This has been a learning experience. I have done everything on the build, but media blast and paint the body metal.

Also, any interest in reproducing the interior panels... they sure would look nice in my truck

Ryans88gt, Welcome to Salt Lake Chrome Plating & Collision Products Inc, providing chroming services in Salt Lake City, Utah. Give them a call and ask for an estimate. Unbolted into 6 pieces the grill can be mailed or UPS shipped. I live in Utah so I took it in myself.
I'm not interested in doing interior panels other than my own, but I can explain how I did it if your interested.
Thanks for the compliments from all.

Here is a short video clip of the first time the truck has run in a year. Finally almost back on the road.
