2" Lift Questions
First off, i'm not too familiar with the difference between lift kits and leveling kits.
I want to lift my truck 2" but in doing research do i need get a lift kit and a leveling kit? For the front and the back?
I have a 2006 F150 4.6 V8 RWD
I also havnt been able to find any good places to but the kits (also because i dont know what all i may need) It would be ideal to get a kit i can bolt on myself. Any suggestions of reliable sites or places to purchase a kit would be awesome. Thanks

Levelling kits typically involve a spacer to raise the front end of the truck to reduce or eliminate the forward rake (i.e. trucks appears to sit at the same level front to back). These trucks normally sit higher in the rear (forward rake). You can also get blocks to raise the rear about one inch if you want to. All of this is fairly economical compared to a true lift. Spacers will increase your IWE angle, but not enough to cause significant wear issues. You can also accomplish the levelling by changing out the front strut assemblies with units such as the Rancho Quicklift, Bilstein 5100, etc, but this costs more unless you need new struts anyway. I used spacers then switched to Quicklifts more recently.
I know there are lift kits for 4" and higher, but am not sure there are kits for 2" (for F150). Lift kits typically include items such as new control arms that allow the spindles to drop, and brackets to drop the front differential in order to maintain the factory angle on the IWE's. This forces the drive shaft to absorb the angle change. The higher the lift the more pieces and parts that are usually needed.
