I just got my first truck and having problems with it.
Someone in there wisdom dissided to take the feed back system off.
AII they Left on it was the carb and distibuter.

I wana change to Duraspark system on the pre 83s

Just a couple of questions.

I went to the junk yard and found a few of the parts i need. but couIdnt find a carb. can anyone teII me if there on any other car/truck that would suit?
Or what type carb i need? so could possibly Ebay a new one

Yes, that's the ignition module you need, just make sure the plastic piece where the wires come out is blue. I can't tell from the picture if that is faded blue or not.

Yes, that's the dist you need. You might need the coil also, check that out.

This engine didn't have a carb on it?

Found 2 i6 4.7 with Duraspark on em.
Neither had Carbs.

AIso that Ing Mod has the bIue plastic piece

 

If you have 2 systems id be willing to buy one off you. I been wanting to do this too but cant find the parts.

 

I can buy a new carb thats no prob.
