Welcome to the chapter. To Fayetteville from Texas (think I saw Houston area mentioned)...that will be some what different from what your used to. I have family that lives in the Kingwood, TX area.
It is an antenna shop, mostly, but other microwave components also get built here. Of interest to you (possibly) - I have solid modeling CAD, a milling machine and a metal lathe in addition to the usual microwave test equipment.
Don't happen to handle Firesticks, do you? I need a no ground plane setup for my motorhome. Rather give a member the money than somebody off Ebay.

I design and build new antennas for OEMs. It looks like Firestiks are commercially available CB antennas. I just did a quick skim, but they may be loaded monopoles, and thus need GPs as well.

In another lifetime I lived across the street from one of the founders of the company. Got hooked on them and never used anything else. They have a no GP setup for boats and motorhomes and other non-metallic type vehicles.
