Intermediate CEL

Intermediate CEL
I have a cel that will appear with the miss or total loss power then the cel go out and normal running. The truck can be started with no cel but will appear with a few blimps of the throttle. You can reverse this, cel on, blimp the throttle a few times and cel go off. I changed CPS today, checked external connectors at valve covers for damaged wires. Have not checked for codes. Do not have scanner for the psd. Tried the smell test at valve cover cap, nothing obvious. Just real odd that punching throttle can force cel on or off. Will try to barrow a scanner tomorrow. Without the codes My guess is ICP or pull valve covers. 96 f350 auto 4x4

With the codes you provided check the main wiring harness for rub marks where it goes over the valve cover.

That has been checked, but I just removed quite a bit of the conduit only seen 1 place where foil shieding had been pushed aside. My thoughts are with the IDM. To update, with DTC's removed, truck will pass all test. KOEO, KOER, buzz, cyl. Contribution and switch(?). Don't know, need to get away from it tonite. Internet off hear in lynchburg area so can't search for info
