tranny question

i know that this is only a ford forum but i have a 99'suburban and the motor ran dry of coolent and locked up but it has been sitting there for over a year and was wondering if the tranny is still any good i plane on dropping a new 350 motor myself and want to know if the tranny will still be any good????????

To the OP:
I would think it should be OK, if it was working as it should before the engine went out.

Now after sitting for over a year I would change the fluid and filter as a good measure..
