Finally bit the bullet and ordered a 2014!

I ordered a 2014 F350 extended cab short box 4x4 Lariat last night. Went for black again w/ black interior I got the rapid heater, lariat interior pkg, navigation w/ touch screen, snowplow prep, cab lights, wheel liners, body molding and heated-cooled seats. I finally figured its time so I used my X Plan pin code and Im trading in my 07 6 liter. I will really miss the rumble of the diesel and all smoke and stink! LOL.

Anyway questions I have:

Does the 2011 body sit higher than the 2007? I saw one on the lot w/ snowplow prep pkg and it sat just as high as my 07 F350 w/ snowplow prep and 2 1/2" cage blocks? I cant exceed 7' to the cab or ill have convertible in the parking garage at work.

Also can I swap out the exhaust and put on an MBRP 4" I still have a new muffler in the box yet?

Will my stainless steel cab steps fit from my 07 to my 14? The cab frame looks the same from 99-14

Will my wheels and lug nuts fit I have a set of 305 65 R18's on aftermarket wheels

new truck

Congrats on the new 2014 truck. You are going to love it. I believe there is a new dash different from my 2011 Lariet. I can't answer your questions as I don't know enough about that but I remember getting my metallic black 6.7 with the options you have and I drive my truck a lot, just for enjoyment. Right now my baby is in the body shop as someone dinged my rear passenger door in the parking lot. Their door banged my truck and I am paying over $700.00 to get it fixed. I came out and noticed the dent right away. No one was around as they just left but had to know they hit my truck. And it didn't look like much but I can't have my truck, that otherwise looks pristine with that dent in her. I get her back tomorrow.

Good luck with the truck and hope everything fits for you.

Your steps should fit. When I bought my 11 it had no steps and I bought a set from CL from an older early 2000 model and they fit fine.

Unless the exhaust is for the 6.7, it isn't going to work. You can only do a exhaust filter back pipe if you want to stay stock. If you want to do a full system you will need a tuner.

It shouldn't, but the overall height of these things can vary a bit depending on what packages etc. you have got.

As long as it is the one for the '11+ trucks.

Yes, it will fit.

Not sure I understand this question. Are you asking if 305 56 R18's will fit on the standard rims?

I think the 8x170 lug pattern has been the same for quite some time now? Then consider wheel offset too.

Offset is the same on all 05+ trucks.
99-04 trucks had more offset to clear the leaf springs, and the wheels don't interchange with newer trucks.

If your truck is an F350 you can forget about fitting it through a 7' garage door. I can't use the double wide door in my 3 car garage because it is only 7' high. I use the custom door that I have which is 10' high and I can drive my truck in with the quad in the back. Need all of 7' clearance and then a few more inches so an 8' residential garage door works, or a 7'6" parking garage. Your configuration may vary slightly as I have a leveling kit and air bags and I can't clear the 7' door by about 4".

You can swap out the rear suspension blocks for F250 blocks, and it should fit under a 7' garage with stock tires.

I have an 07 F350 now and its 6' 10" Im assuming the 2014 isn't much different, they look the same to me.

My question about the aftermarket wheels was the offset and bolt pattern, good to know they will fit!

As for exhaust that's disappointing not to swap it out, I like a 5" pipe not 2 little 2" chrome tailpipes. If I remove the entire exhaust and get a tuner wont I loose my warranty? And will it pass inspection?

Can someone school me on the 6.7l diesel, all the emmisions and this regen everyone is talking about? What fuel additives are good/bad? I use powerservice cetane boost and 2 cycle oil now.

Congratulations on ordering, 98woody! I'm happy to track your order for you and keep you updated on your truck's status. Send me a PM with your order number and dealership name/location; I'll do the rest!

My one week old 2013 F350, 11,500 GVWR, outfitted similar to yours, fits with inches to spare through my 84" high by 93" wide. Mirrors must be folded back before entering. I do not have the clearance lights on the cab. They would add too much height. Am adding a Leer canopy cab high. the taller canopies would not fit in the garage. Oh, and the length of my garage is 255". I must "kiss" the back wall to ensure the garage door closes without collision with the bumper.
