Parts Locater???

I frequently see a question posted inquiring about availability of parts followed by an answer with the part number, the vendors that have the part and numbers available. I'm assuming the part numbers are derived from the Particular Vehicles Parts Book, but what then?
What do you use to get these results. Seems very useful!!!

BJ - you want to sign up at Partsvoice.com. It's a real good tool for finding NOS parts. Stu

Just googling the part number usually brings it up.

And, a new site: rearcounter.com .. no registration required, just bring up the page and type away. Both sites, type the part number without spaces or hyphens, like this: BAAA16312A not: BAAA-16312-A

And, if there's a zero (0) in the part numbers prefix, it can also be typed as the letter O

But one needs to know the part number beforehand: 1948/56 Ford Truck Parts Catalog available on a CD from hipoparts.com

I wonder how many of those google searches leads to part numbers (1,000's!) I've typed here on FTE?

CD includes:
