AC seats

Yes it is just a fan like King Ranch stated...there have been some people saying the fan was partially blocked by some of the seat cushion on their truck...you can have the dealer check it out and make sure it has an unobstructed path to the seat. Consequently the heat is also blown through the holes as well.

Thanks for the reply. I checked under the seat and I could see the small fan. I will talk to my service guy at my local dealer to see what he thinks.
So far the 2013 Platinum has been great. I love the quiet ecoboost engine with the smooth ride of the crew cab with 6.5 bed. I like it way better than my 2009 LTZ Chevy that I traded in.

First, Welcome to the site!!
No, it is a fan and a thermo-electric (may have the name wrong) cooler.
Similar to what you see on a 12v ice chest.
The heat is just like any other heated seat and does not blow.

The 13 does not use a thermoelectric device for the cooling. It is just a fan. I verified this with my service manager that knows his stuff. The 11 had the thermoelectric device. That is why people are now complaining about them not working very well. Just a fan that takes cool air from under the seat and blows it up into the seat.

Hate to do that, but he is dead *** wrong.
Easy enough to confirm.
If you have a '13 Plat, go outside, start the truck, tun the main A/C off, turn the cooled seat to high, sit down and wait.

Have you taken your truck to the dealership so they can check this out for you? I can also assist by getting your regional customer service manager involved; just send me a PM with your information and I'll make it happen. Be sure to include your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name.
