04 HD Radiator Option - Expedition

I wanted to share, unless its already known
its hard to locate a thick radiator that will list a 04
as a confirmed fit in search charts...for me at least.

Searching didn't bring up much info on HD radiators
other than the stock size replacements.I can confirm
that in my 04 Expedition the 99-04 Lightning radiator
does fit. Its a full 2 1/8" thick

I did swap the tranny line fittings for my push type hard
lines, otherwise thats not needed. There are fittings that
will fit for a simpler swap. Also to note, the lower radiator
hose..I removed the plastic push/twist lock ring and will
use a stainless band clamp, possibly two.

Found this rad on fleabay for a good deal imo.

With all this heat here lately,I needed to address this
now. Truck just turned 130K and with the blower, its
probably a good thing. Hope it helps someone

Seems to be a bit overkill.

heat exchanger setup. I also redid that @ the same time

I actually take that as a compliment, thank you alloro
For the price..& over 400hp,its a safe move. I also tow a
24ft enclosed trailer weekly.

I realize this is an old post, but I'm glad I saw it, as I have been searching and searching. Explorer's can have a 2 row rad., but the 03+ Expedition/Navigators only a 1 row. Will my factory A/T cooler lines connect, or must custom lines be made? Same question for the radiator hoses?
