Decided to 'upgrade' the front of my Ex.

First off, I didn't like the 'cheesegrater' Excursion grille so I got a Super Duty grille. Since I have an XLT with a Chrome bumper and the clear headlights I liked the idea of a chrome grille. See below for the before and after.

Then I threw on some Wade in-channel wind deflectors:



Lastly, put a badge on the receiver (I like it, nice quality and heavy duty) as well as a license plate cover (meh, it's really thin)


I also installed new Phillips Xtreme-Power bulbs and am VERY happy with them vs. the old lights - SO much brighter.

 

Good stuff! I have those same wind deflectors and like them a lot.

 

I like the chrome grille better too, looks good on a dark colored EX.
I have the same Wade rain/wind deflectors, put them on 2 1/2 years ago and they still look and function like new, they are a great little mod.

 

Looks amazing. Where did you source the grill from?

 

Is that the stainless steel hood deflector or the chrome/plastic one?

 

Amazon. I'm pretty happy with it.

Chrome/Plastic from Amazon. I couldn't justify 2x the cost for the stainless one.

 

Did the grill require any modifications for fitment or did it just drop right in?
