4.9 300 1992 coil wires please help

Hello. I have a 1992 F250 4.9 300 manual transmission, fuel injected. After attempting to fix an issue with hesitation, stumble and bog when accelerating and very rough running when warmed up (which I still haven't fixed ahhhh!) but there are two wires that make up the harness that connects to the coil. Somehow they came out of the plastic harness. I want to know which wire connects to which terminal. Does anyone know exactly how these go? Which one goes toward the rear and which one goes toward the front? Please and thank you in advance. Sincerely.

On my 92 f150, when its plugged in:

red/blue to the rear terminal
orange/yellow to front terminal
red/green to the little condenser bung thing

If you want a picture I'll try to post one.

Thank you for the answer

Awesome! Right on man. Thank you for the prompt and albeit correct answer. It worked. Now I'm narrowing down the original problem. I disconnected the green egr vacuum and she's running a lot better. Still has a bit of a stumble at the high end in 5th gear. But I'm getting closer. Thanks again!

Yup yup, look it up on here about making a restrictor plate for your egr. Mine does/did the same thing. It's been behaving lately. But then again I'm at like 16 deg base timing haha.

Rough

My Ford F 150 1992 was running rough and I disconnected the EGR valve and it runs great now.I do not know if it has long term effect on motor but works for now.

Many threads on the long term effects, and all are debates. Grab some popcorn and click away.

I just unscrewed the tube and placed a 3/4" fender washer with a 1/8" hole between the EGR tube and the valve itself and the truck runs beautiful. No roughness, no CHECK ENGINE, and a little bit of EGR flow to keep things happy. Last winter I did as you did and just enjoyed the warm glow of the CHECK ENGINE light.

Have you taken it in for a diagnostic check? Many auto parts stores will do this for free.
