fall GTG Sept 20-22 @ Whiskey Creek

Thanks for all the votes on the other GTG thread. Majority rules we go to Whiskey Creek. Looks like the weekend posted in subject line is the when and where.

Hey Mike should we see about maybe getting 5-6 spots by your site for right now?

Again family event. Bring everyone.

Being a weekend event there should be more than plenty to do, either as a group or on your own. I think we will try to only do one major potluck on Saturday evening. We can do others, but don't want people to feel obligated to have to have all meals with us.

Home Page

Looks like there is tons to do, bring your atv's or horses too. close to the dunes if anyone wants to go out on the sand for a bit, Pentwater, and tons of trail riding, or forest roads to drive around on.

Lets start a head count for who will be making the trip.

-Rich & Keli, Roscoe too
-Mike & Jodi, and the pups
-Chad &.......
-Tim (Capital Customs)

I was planning on the "other" vehicle too. Should be a good time to trail ride.

I will be there this weekend. I've already talked to Danielle about it and she's in. I didn't have firm dates then. Now I do. I will talk to her about it this weekend and set it up. I'll set something up for reservations like "FTE Party" or something. It isn't a problem for her to hold at least 10 sites for us. If it gets bigger she'll move other folks around so we can be the cool ones. I'll give a full report on Monday.

Just did a lot check here chad. We have a few fifthwheels set up that I can tow the Jeep up behind. Sure is gonna be nice to have a F250 again. Now I just need to get a set of rails installed......

I'm really liking the Reese Elite setup the new trucks are using, not missing those rails one bit. Perhaps do an Elite hitch so you have one when the 6.7s are more affordable? You still limited to 70ft overall in Michigan?.... cause with ours I could only maybe get away with a snowmobile trailer back there......

75' in Michigan.

I can put the rails in my truck and pretty much just grab a hitch out of one of the shop trucks. Or wait for one in a trade.

I know it's 75' but I don't think it's enforced. I've seen some crazy stuff behind some fifth wheels.

Here is the crappy part though. I had a set of rails, brackets, etc. in my barn that I was sick and tired of tripping over... I don't have em any more.

I suppose that would be good use of your hoist too, would make hole drilling much easier.

Well I might have more coming then first thought, my buddy from Indiana called on my way home and said "I took the 19&20 of September off to go to silver lake, looks like we'll need sites for two RVs". Him and his group do atvs and Rhinos. Not sure who RV number 2 is, but his is at least Ford powered
