04 F150 heater blower/ need to pull entire dash?
the parts store said was easy to replace...
the ford store said two day job, to pull entire dash..
mine is an 04 F150, dealer called it a "new body" vs heritage..
anyway... the blower makes quite a racket in all the 4 settings... pretty certain it's not resistor problem...
ford dealer in Gallup NM told me "2 day job, approx $ 750"
dang!! i guess they do good work!! lol
is this the fact? gotta do that much to replace? is this a do it myself kinda job?
thanks for any advice/suggestions!

Are you talking about the blower motor? You do not need to remove the dash to replace that. However, since we can't hear what your blower motor sounds like, you should know that F150s of that vintage had problems with some of the seals on the inside of the HVAC case coming apart and flapping around in the air flow. To repair this, the HVAC case needs to be removed and disassembled, which does require removing the dash. That is most likely what the Ford dealer quoted you for.

Thanks for the reply!
your description of "flapping around in the airflow" sounds just right!
almost like something has fallen into the ducting... airflow seems good, but the noise increases, from low speed, increasingly thru the highest setting (4 levels)
does that "price" sound at all right? two days labor? to do this job?
just very surprised and disappointed...
