New FICM

Thanks Ed. The truck is running great with the FICM that I ordered from you. I will be sending the old unit back.

Another 5-star rep for Ed @ ficmrepair.com..

Installed my repaired unit (w/Atlas40) from Ed Monday night and the tip-in response is FABULOUS compared to before. My MPG are inching up everyday as well, I think the MPG started to slide when the FICM starting going bad. Looking forward to my next long distance drive to see if I get back to 21 MPG again.

Me too.

Only thing I was sort of worried about was the 'sealing stickers' weren't quite stuck down very well. I'm guessing they use them to indicate proof of tampering. Guess I should of called about it.....

58v FICM ?

I haven't been reading this forum in a while, but back a couple of years ago the 58v FICM was the hot ticket. I have one and have been pleased with it so far.

So is this still a good way to go, or has it fallen from favor ?

From what I hear, the 58v FICMs cause more heat which is one of the biggest issues with the FICM (it's mounted directly above the engine) so any 'more' heat inside is a bad thing.

That was another 6.0 myth, a 58v ficm Does not raise the temperature inside the ficm at all.

We need to hear from ( THE MAN ) to set the record straight, calling Eds Ficm to the Table?

I am looking to send my ficm in soon and thinking about the repair with the two year warranty and atlas 40. It appears most everyone gets the atlas 40 but what is everyone getting for repair service? 45,1yr,2yr,lifetime?
