OBS Dana 60 and super duty Dana 50/60 I terchsngability? HELP!
Sorry about the title, noticed the incorrect spelling of 'interchangeability' after I hit post.
I have an incomplete set of 2000 or 2001 f350 axles laying around and a set of super duty wheels with tires if like to use on my truck. I have a 94 f350 SRW CCLB 4x4 truck with auto locking hubs. I'd love to know if the whole hub interchanges from the SD Dana 50/60 to the 94 dana60. Also, can change my rear axle( I'm assuming its a sterling 10.25 or 10.5) to 8x170 from 8x6.5 with parts from the 00/01 sterling 10.5? Would be great if this can be done as I want to get new (bigger) rubber on my truck and the wheels are very nice aluminum wheels.

The hubs will not swap, the bearings and spindles are different between the two. You can swap the entire knuckle along with the spindle, hub and stub shaft. It will be a direct bolt on and you will have slightly better brakes but a weaker unitbearing. For the rear axle you need to swap the entire axle. It'a basically a bolt on, you just need to turn the shock brackets around. You will gain disk brakes and the rear will match the front in width.
I would use the 00 parts for the front. It should be a D50 but the knuckles are identical to the D60 then you can sell the 01 which is probably a D60 and worth more money.

I have one Dana 50 front, I don't know if it is 00 or 01, not two, and I know for sure its a Dana 50. I always thought these axles were the same width? I suck with correct terminology, but what exactly is the stub shaft? Is it the part on the outside of the u joint( as in it goes to the hub not the differential? The rear has no brakes and is rear just a housing, R&p, and shafts. If you can make use of pictures that would be easier and clear up confusion.

The axles are a bit different in width. On the OBS trucks with a D60 front and 10.25 rear, the front is about 2" wider than the rear. Using a 10.5 from a 99-04 will make the rear much closer to the same width as the front. The stub shaft is part of the axle shaft. Once you remove the lockout, hub and spindle, the entire shaft will slide out. There is a inner portion and a outer portion connected by a universal. The outter portion is the shorter bit and is often refered to as the stub shaft. The stub shaft length is slightly differnt between the two axles so you will need to swap it over and it would be a good time to replace the universal while it's apart.
Here's the frst pic I found, the stub shaft is the portion towards the bottom.
