Some could benefit but I don't tow and just putt around this small town and go on a small trip twice a year.

Thank you, Brent.
Saying that you dont need "better than OEM breaks" equals not
that all upgrades on breaks are nonsens.

Bottom Line:
There are custom kits/sets out there and some mods (brake lines /hydroboost)
can be done wich will gives you a huge improvement in stopping power
but you dont need them.
Ok. But they exist. Right?

Great.......and now where this is said loud and clear......Lets get some beer

What is the part number for the kit you ordered and after this amount of time are you still happy with the product?

I installed mine in December. We're about to hit May and I've already burnt through my pads with daily driving.

I installed Powerstop: Calipers, Rotors and Pads.

I'm not sure about radmacks calipers but mine were the same red but did have the OEM Ford stamp on the caliper bodies, it looks like powerstop just puts 'beefier' components in them.

Here is what I installed:
Amazon.com: Power Stop (KC1905) 1-Click Performance Brake Kit with Calipers: Automotive Amazon.com: Power Stop (KC1905) 1-Click Performance Brake Kit with Calipers: Automotive

I see the rotors and pads are more aggressive (trade-off) but exactly how are those calipers better?

I was curious too but after reviewing both the oem specs and powerstop specs the only difference that I could find was the claim on powerstops behalf of "Premium boots/seals and high-temp silicone lubricant on caliper pins".

Id be willing to bet that they are just remanufactured factory calipers that are painted.

But hey... they do look good and if you think you need new calipers then the price seems pretty good.

There's lot's of things out there that claim to be better than stock that cost a bunch and as long as people keep buying, they will be glad to produce it.

To improve braking performance... stainless steel brake lines and flush the brake fluid, is about it, without increasing the sweep area and using four piston calipers. HD metalic pads will help heat fade going down a steep grade and cryo rotors will out perform standard rotors life.

I totally agree, I had my doubts about the Cyro rotors until I looked into it and they go through a high tech tempering process which is now used on gun barrels etc. Everything else is just a trade-off.

Any update on how you like the brake kit? How miles do you have on them now? How is the corrosion resistance of the rotors? Lastly how is the stopping performance now?

still good. no loss in stopping power yet and no corrosion. routers look great. Not sure how many miles but my truck is a daily driver in the city lot of stop and go. For me this kit was cheaper then the budget stuff here in Canada.
