Went out to shop this AM to find gas all over floor . The tank I thought I had fixed sprung a new leak so cleaned up mess drained and removed the tank and called the Old Car Centre in Langley to order a new tank . On the upside I found a Hot Rod/Restoration friendly glass shop to cut all new laminated automotive safety glass for $270.00 , 24 hour turn around .
Glad that you found it before it went up in flames. In Dallas, it's hot enough to make some wicked vapors. I chose to not paint my freshly-rebuilt Y block today because of the high heat and still air. I'll do it on a less fire-friendly day.
That's scary, around California it's common for water heaters to be located in a connected garage. So any kind of gas leaks scare me, Im glad yours didn't cause any fire, and congrats on your glass deal.
No water heater Jim , as the shop is detached but it is a good thing it's summer because 8 months of the year the furnace pilot is on if not the furnace itself .
