91 f250 speedo gear removal

My speedo Is on the fritz! Sometimes it moves (not accurately) and sometimes it stays on zero. I'm assuming the drive gear is worn out, since I've replaced the driven gear, VSS, and the cable is fine. This is clearly affecting my Trans aswell. My question is, since I have the BW1345 t-case, do I have to split the case to get the drive gear out or just pull the rear yoke and seal? Anybody ever done one? My old truck had the 1356 case with the slip yoke and that had a tailshaft housing. This one does not. rear yoke bolts directly to output shaft
Thanks in advance for the help.

Well, didn't get a reply. But just incase anyone needs to know for future reference, if you remove the driveshaft and then the yoke, the drive gear just slides off the output shaft. That was easy enough
