Got my Eagle Eyes Headlights Installed and....

Ugh, the fitment is just awful! I'm going to mess around a little bit tomorrow but lord, man, it's not even close! I'm pretty sure these will be going back. Anyone else have this issue?

That sucks, when you pay good money for a product and it doesn't look right!

Geez, how could they possibly get it that wrong?

Thx for the post, I had been considering their replacement headlights.

FWIW, I saw some new Eagle Eyes on a '90s Bronco a couple of days ago and those looked fine.

Most aftermarket lights, unless they are a certified part; CAPA etc, will have some noticeable fitment or quality issues. Usually not that bad though, that looks more like the hardware is off kilter.

I would remove and reinstall them and double and triple check the hardware and make sure it's the lights for sure. That's insane

I can't answer about the hood gap but the gap along the grill I can. I heard the older grills that come on the Ex r curved more than the 05 and newer. I see u have replaced urs with an 05 ptm. I'll have to get pics of mine, but I installed eagle eye brand that r a perfect match. I think they r for newer replacements. Can't remember. Bought them off eBay. I'll be on a cruise for the next week but will post some pics.

Absolutely it does. I was really excited about these things too.

People here have recommended the Eagle Eyes brand, which is why I went with them specifically instead of the projector, halo types. I wanted it to look as stock as possible.

I wonder if I got the standard 05-07 lights (understanding I'd have to cut the panel) if they'd look as bad.

Yeah the problem is these are held in with two screws and a clip, so honestly adjustments are minimal.

I have my old grill still, I may slap it on real quick just to see if it's a much better fit for curiosity's sake.

Ok I made some progress with them this afternoon. Tomorrow I may "stuff" the sides of the grill and try to get them to expand a bit to snug up to the lights.

Wow, I just swapped my 00 headlights out for a set of 05 Eagle replacements and other than the gap next to grill (00 headlights and grill have more of a curve, 05 are more straight on sides) the fitment is close to perfect, something else might be wrong there. I did have to do a bit of trimming on the header panel to get the 05's in without binding but they fit great once the panel is trimmed.

Good luck and hope all comes out well.

It looks to me like they don't match up with the hood more than they don't fit with the grill...that's a big angled gap with the hood.

I just tried to replace a turn signal bulb and found out that my stock head lights and signal lights are shot so I'll need to get complete new ones soon.

Thanks for the pictures.

Alright, I'm getting ever closer. I hacked the hell outta the header panel and cut cut cut some more. We're ALMOST there.

Have those lights on my Ex (didn't know what they were called before, the PO installed them). Never really noticed the fittment gaps before, but yeah now that I look - pretty ackward gaps on all four sides. That I can live with though - what's annoying to me is that they're triggering a "turn signal out" type hyper flashing from the turn signals. Any tips on how to alleviate that?
