I am installing a new water pump and coolant filter and I have come across conflicting torques for the water pump bolts and water pump pulley bolts. I have a subscription to AllDataDIY and it has 48 lbs/ft for both and I found another write up for water pump remove and replace that says 18 lbs/ft. I have always trusted AllData so I tried the 48 lbs/ft and it started to feel like it was going to strip out so I stopped. Just wondering if 18 is correct.

18 is correct on thr bolts going into the front cover srea. 48 seems high to me. Maybe 48 for the pulley bolts since its steel.
