1989 F700 Air Conditioner issue - Compressor Doesn't Come Om

There is freon in the system, reads about 50 lbs on an 85 degree day. Compressor does not kick on, I haven't yet checked if I am getting power to the compressor, but assuming I am not, what would I look for wrong with this?

It is a 6.6 diesel if that matters.

Thanks!

There may be a low pressure switch in the system that prevents the electric clutch from engaging if the freon pressure is too low. Perhaps that switch has broken in the "open" position. It can easily be bypassed with a short jumper wire.
