Having the biggest bitch of a time finding headers that will fit. Apparently nobody swaps 351W in these old trucks. The hardest part is going to be trying to find something that will clear all of the clutch and shifter linkages.

Still, nothing.

I seen where someone said they were using Bronco headers in their bump..
So may be look in to those for your fix.

I used Heddman on my 351w with the 3 speed column shift. Had to dent some of the tube by gear box. And they exit into the cross member so you need to buy or bend some pipe to get under. I might have a old set if you get up to Ohio there yours free if Istill got them

I'll be in Chillicothe later this year, albeit in my Miata. Do you have a Part# by chance for the Heddmans?

I wonder if 302W headers would work... they'd be what, a half inch up and over vs an actual 302?

I had the same issue. I used Mustang shorty headers from a fox body with a 302. They work perfect. They are plentiful and cheap. Good luck with your search.

I remember a while ago somebody said he had tried just about every brand 302 header and none would fit. I am assuming because they exit right at the crossmember. Both Garrett (351clevelandC4) and HioSilver rebuilt and welded in some pass through tubes in their crossmembers for the exhaust. Check out their threads if either of them don't catch this.

Eh that seems like a PITA, but I don't want shorties and I don't want to keep the garbage cast manifolds for long. Why must this be so difficult...

Because you are going where Ford never did. Do you have a welding Buddy?

I bet I can get one of my coworkers to do it, if that's what it comes to. The only access to a welder that I have is at work, which is off-limits for our own personal projects.

I used those hedmans they were for a 302.Like I side you would have to dent a few tubes but they fit fine. For the Exhaust you could have some pipes bent to go over cress member,I did this for my Bronco as will hit the cross member in it.maybe something like this to route over

One of those "How the hell did I not catch that!??!" moments. The air cleaner threads on the carb are absoltely stripped out. It used to take a 5/16" stud. Now I'm just going to run a 3/8" because why not.

I tried a set of Fox body mustang shorty headers on my 68 351W truck. The drivers side would go on but sit right against the power steering box so I didn't use them.
