rich running 4.0

What Would cause a 91 4.0 run rich and sound like it's running off of about 4 or 5 cylinders when you get the RPMs over about 1400 or so? Thankyou.

I would look for a vacuum leak first.

Then the ignition. I think your engine should have an EDIS module and a coil pack. I would try to find another one of each to test with.
