Hydro Boost

Has anyone on here replaced their hydroboost? The reason I ask is that on my Excursion, the brake pedal doesn't feel as firm as before, I replaced the power steering pump since it was making noise, and that helped for awhile but now is not as firm. Fairly intermittent..

Have you bled the brakes? Does the pedal drop?

Have you flushed your power steering fluid? Believe it or not, they are related.

Usually when a hydro boost unit goes out the pedal will be hard as a rock, just like a vacuum booster. I would look at pads or hoses maybe. Air in the line will doe that as well. Bleed first me thinks.
