my mustang 22 gal tank install
#34
Haven't made up my mind on the door yet , thinking I am going to let fate decide . goto pick ur part and see what i find .
got the fuel gauge working , had to drain gas remove sending unit and bend rod for float . it's still on the low side showing 1/8 tank when it should be closer t 1/4 but can't help that my truck has a rack to it so it throw the whole float level off and i have it currently just touch bottom of tank when empty .

Had a problem with gas gauge reading empty while i still had 5+ gallons of gas left .
I noticed tanks was sitting lower in front then back , put a 36" level on it and bubble was all the way to rear .went and looked at my 66 Mustang and tank is flat . so I added some 3/4 "spacers between tank and frame . tank is now almost perfectly level .

speaking of filler necks. What did you use? Did you get a mustang filler neck? If you did what gas cap are you using? I didn't order a filler neck yet because I didn't know how much room I would have and I didn't want to use a big mustang cap. There are some nice aftermarket filler neck cap assemblies but they are way too expensive.
