Plus Size Tires

Hey Guys,

Im currently running 275 70 18 Toyo OC MT's on my stock 2012 F-250 Super Duty but I want to run 33x12.5x20 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I was wondering if I would have any rubbing issues and what rim width and offset I would need to have no rubbing issues.

Are you planning on a leveling or lift kit? I think you should be fine. The 275/70-18 are 33" tires just about 10" wide.

Im not planning on doing a level. But ive been informed that if I do a level I should be able to fit 35x12.5s on the truck. Maybe a set of 325/65 R18 on my stock rims with a Carli Suspension Leveling kit.

That is correct. Mine is set up with a leveling kit with 325/65-18 and with the factory wheels, the tires rub slightly at full wheel lock. The offset on my aftermarket don't rub at all.

35s

I have a 2013 F250 and I needed a 2.5" leveling kit to run Toyo MT 35s. They don't rub at all. I test fitted them before the lift and they rubbed pretty bad. The wheels are 18" x 9" at an offset of -12 mm. They stick out about 2.5" from the side. I think it's cool how they stick out but I had to get fender flairs to keep the tires from throwing water and mud on the side of the truck.

If I had to do it over I would try zero or even positive offset wheels to reduce the amount they stick out. However some people say that you need negative offset to fit oversized tires unless you do a big lift.

I just drove home my new 2013 F250 platinum edition w 20" inch wheels. Would the 35's fit on here with or without a level kit? It has the FX package also which I believe raises the chassis up a little more than stock with the new shock package. if i cannot get the 35's, how big can I go wo getting a lift kit? Appreciate any help on this as I would like to do this tomorrow.
Would i have to recalibrate the speedo?

I didn't have to recalibrate my speedo at all when I swapped out my 2012 stock tires for 35s -- difference in tire diameter was less than an inch and MPH was right on when I checked with a handheld GPS. If your suspension is like the 2012 you will need a level (mine had the FX package but I still needed to level it out). Who knows, maybe the 2013 is different.
