Unplug the EGR???

Should I unplug the EGR??? I am getting an error code 1335. I have removed and cleaned the EGR several times in the past, and I plan to order the delete kit, but in the mean time can I just unplug it?

Never unplug the EGR-valve. It throws off the engine cooling fan and the VGT cycle.

Here's a thread with some good observations and not too many opinions. If you haven't seen this one it has a lot of good info:

Thanks Guys for the input. Think I will clean it again and reinstall until I get a delete kit. sounds like it can be handled with a custom tune as well, good to know!

Thanks for the intel....I too plugged mine back in. The light still stays on as always! I need to get a dashboss and start getting some digits and get a handle on this truck. I'd like it to last me another 100,000 miles.

It may stay on for a few drive cycles but should clear on it's own. The monitor is still a great idea though .
