74 f250 build
so i know i havent finished or made any progress on the 76 but i just havent felt like working on it lately so why not start another project!
some of you may remember i bought a 74 f250 about 2 years ago and then sold it not long after, well i ended up buying it back off the same guy i sold it too, it was one i shoulda never sold. they guy didnt really do to much to it except change the yellow stripe to black and put a head unit it (pretty halfassed also) but it was basically how i sold it. i didnt like the stripe black for what ever reason so it made me want to change it up and i deceided to do a little build. the idea be hind the build it to get most of the rust out but not worry too much about how it looks over all, going for function over form for the most part. its just going to be my winter truck/ toy
here it is when i bought it the first time
then when i picked it back up, didnt like the black
then i didnt like the mirriors on it, couldnt see **** out of em so i got a pair of OK doors for 40 bucks put them on with the better mirriors. it also needed new fenders, one was red and almost matched, the other is surfacerust/green
i painted the grille while it was out
experimented with some camo on the old junk fenders
the cab corners were pretty bad so i started cutting them out and replacing them, also i pulled the bed off obviously and im prepping the frame for a quick paint job, nothing fancy just better then rust and peeling undercoating
also whend i got it back i backed it into a tree with the tail gate down and smashed the gate up so now it has a "new" tail gate also.
next up for it is finish the corners, paint the frame and get the bed back on.
also ill be removing the 203 and the closed knuckle 44 for a 205 and a 76 axle with disc brakes. and then finally ill be painting it camo.

Man, that thing looks sweet!
Maybe outline the Ford letters in the front grill with silver, but it looks really good as is. I love the black with silver outline in the grill, looks perfect!
Hmmm... and a grill guard (like on the military k5 blazers) would look nice on there too. But I'm not the one spending the money.

Man that thing looks bad a**. It just says "go ahead make my day... I dare ya too." I too like the idea of outlining the ford letters to match the grille inserts. I think and this is just my opinion, but I think that is the meanest I've ever seen a 73-5 grille assembly look. As I typically favor the 76-7 grilles, and think and this too is my opinion that they are the meanest looking from the factory.
