paint on King Ranch leather

I drove home a guy and he got paint on my passenger seat. It has since dried and i was wondering the best way(if any) to remove it. It's really disappointing to look at.

Assuming we are talking about house type laytex paint, very warm water- let the very warm towels lay on the paint to soften it...it should slowly lift off.

It is an epoxy paint.

Well, get the material safety data sheet from the mfg....speak directly to the company, I'm afraid that although they will be able to tell you what specifically will break down the paint, it will probably be very harsh to the upholstery, at minimum requiring the leather or fabric to be re-dye'd. But I would definitely call & try.

How about a detailer, or the dealer. They may have a few ideas. Just a thought.

I would try WD40 first. Might not work on epoxy, but it's gentle. Try putting it on an inconspicuous spot for color fastness on you leather first. If that doesn't help, I would think brake cleaner might take it off, but again, try it on an out of the way spot beforehand to make sure it doesn't ruin the color of the leather. Jag

wow-got to love buddies like that. I had a friend who burned a cigarette on my truck seat, not leather but they were in excellent shape until then.

Hope you can get that out of there.
