2008 Expedition factory installed remote starter giving 5 beeps and not working

I have a 2008 expedition with a factory installed remote starter. One little keyfob with one button. My truck was running the other day and I depressed remote fob until it beeped 1 time and kept the truck running so I could pull the keys and lock the truck. A few minutes passed and the truck shut itself down as it normally does. I re-depressed the fob to restart the vehicle and the truck beeped at me 5 times and hasn't worked and beeps 5 times I press fob ever since.

Any thoughts?

Are you sure it's 5 beeps??
5 honks/beeps means the remote start is sensing the key is in the ignition. My guess would be the SecuriLock/PATS unit is at fault.

For future reference.
2 honks = Hood is open or brake is depressed
3 honks = One of the doors is open
4 honks = Tach is not programmed
5 honks = Key is in ignition
6 honks = System is in Service/Valet mode

Actually SIX beeps..

Hey Matt,

I just tried again - it is actually SIX beeps. Thoughts on how to remove from Valet mode?

Thank You!

To return to normal mode:
Insert key and turn to ON or RUN ( foot OFF brake )
Press the remote start button on remote 3 TIMES.
Horn will honk 1 TIME indicating system is out of Valet Mode.
Remove key and test to make sure system functions normal.

Also, when using the "quick stop" feature make sure that your foot is not accidently on the brake as this can case the system to enter valet mode.
