32x10.5 tires vs 31x10.5 tires
I have a 1996 f-150 with the stock 15x7 rims. I once had 31x11.5s on and they rubbed on a hard turn. I currently have 31x10.5 tires on and have no problems with clearance. I want to go to a 32x10.5. Does anyone know if I will have any clearance or rubbing problems? It looks as if there maybe some problems with the front bumper hitting on a turn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
~Mike~

No such thing as a 32 by 10.5. It's only 32 by 11.5. Are you SURE that you have 15 by 7? Take off a rim, and look, it should be stamped on there. If you have 15/7.5s you can fit the 32s on there, but if not, 7" is to skinny to be safe.

If you have a 4x4...you can fit 32s no problem. If you have a 4x2, no a 32 wont fit well at all. I have a 4x4 with 32s, take a look in my gallery if you want to see what they look like.

If you are using the stock rims I think you can just look on the drivers door jamb. I think that I remember the rim siize being listed on that info card...

You can get a 32 by 11.5 on those stock rims with hardly any rubbing so don't worry about it. I have them on my 4x4 as i said before. What do you need your tire to do for ya and we can recommend a tire for you. If you drive 90% on the road like I do, but want an agressive tire and good off-road qualities look into the new BFG mud terrains that I have. They are great on and off road. You can also get a BFG all terrain, they have a pretty agressive looking tread and will wear longer/ride better than a mud terrain and are cheaper. But the muds ride well and arn't very loud as it is, its a great tire.

32x10.5 tires vs 31x10.5 tires
I am not concerned with the noise, the milage, nor the ride, I drive mostly on the highway (at least 90%) but when I do go off road it's usually some bad stuff. I guess I'm looking for more of an off-road tire for when and if I need it. I had some Wranglers on a Bronco and a F-150 before and those were fine in mud, snow, and dry pavement. But every time the rain came I feared the truck would lose control and crash. The Goodyears (in my opinion) were horrible in the rain. Not much traction once they were wet. How are the BFGs on the wet pavement?

The BFG muds are a great all weather tire. They do well in the rain too.

You can put five flat washers on each side behind the bolts that hold the front bumper on. This will push it forward just a dab to give you clearance. I have a 96 4x4 with stock rims and am running BFG AT/KO's in 32 x 11.5. with no problem...excellent all-weather tire that looks and performs and wears great.
I recently removed the plastic damn below the bumper. It improved the look quite a bit.

I would not advise that as a safe thing to do. You DO NOT need any kind of spacer to fit 32s tires. They will rub a slight amount at full turn but you are not suppose to turn the wheel against the steering stops anyway. That is an UNSAFE thing to do!

If you're not dead set on a really aggressive tread pattern, I would take a look at the Michelin LTX M/S. I had a set of 33X12.50's on my 85 Bronco, and they were fantastic. The ride on the road was great, and they seemed to work just as well off-road as my older BFG All-Terrain's did. Plus, they are one of the best rated wet traction light truck tires you can buy.
