2011 Super Duty New Wheels Tires Offset Question

2011 F250 No lift stock height Fx4

I'd like to go to a 18x9 -12mm offset wheel from the 18x8 40mm stock wheels
Looking to run a Goodyear Duratrac 325/65r18

The offset change gets me an extra 39mm inside and sticks out an extra 65mm and the tire is 2" wider so it'll be 25mm on each side of the wheel. On paper it will fit and I've seen a couple examples of it working. Unfortunately people neglect to say what offset they are running...

I've been looking through the forum for a month and haven't found the right info, hopefully this will help someone else.

Should I go with the +1mm version of the wheels or the -12mm?

I don't mind lift or leveling but I don't wanna end up with a rough riding truck I picked out Carli backcountry lift then they told me no go on gasser....

I'd go with the -12 offset. Of course I have an 08 but here is how my-12 look. Tires are only 295 70 though.

What do you mean they said no-go on a gasser? I have a gasser and it is in the shop for a pintop lift.

There may be a reason for that. Backspacing is an exact measurement of the depth of the wheel inboard from the mounting surface to the outside edge of the rim. It's the important measurement, because it tells you without a doubt exactly what you're dealing with regardless of wheel width or whatever else. It lets you know if you're going to be rubbing on springs or control arms or other components. Offset is only a relative measure, how far the mating surface is from the wheel's longitudinal center line. It's one of those numbers that doesn't mean much without more information, and even then you have to do the math to get...backspacing. So forget offset and find out the minimum backspacing you'll need. Then look for a wheel with that number or lower, and you'll be good to go.
