and welded the washer to the tub no the best welds i done but still i kept the slag for getting the the threads so plus for me
then i took a piece of rubber hose cut it to size and using the cdr to clap it down used it like a gasket to seal the cdr to the tube
and here it is on the truck all done

Sweet. I like that white one.
Here is the results of the lettering attempt.
and the passenger side.
Not good angles I know, but the truck was in my driveway and there is not much room on either side. The passenger side has a couple of wrinkles that are only noticeable from the front looking back, from this angle you can't see them. I also have a larger one (these were 2 inch high letters) for the windshield, but I don't think I can put that one on by myself, so I will have to get a volunteer to help me one of these days. I am thinking I should put some window tint across the top first tho. Looks pretty good if I do say so myself.

Yes, this time I had a spray bottle of soapy solution, and a bottle of glass cleaner. Also had a window scraper. After letting them dry for an hour, I peeled off the backing. The driver's side was in the sun, and peeled off with no issues, the passengers side was in the shade, and I think it had not gotten totally dry, and that is why the letters peeled up with the backing when I pulled on it. Still from a distance you can't even tell.
Happy Sunday Nor Cal FTE and friends! Hope everyone has a blessed day. I found a package on my porch this morning when I went out to water the few plants I have. It was too long to be a mouse from Hong Kong (I ordered for the computer, not a live mouse LOL) so it has to be the Banners I ordered for GTG's. Looks pretty good from a distance. Up close it is a little blurry, but I am sure that is because they enlarged a design that was originally 3 inches by 5 inches. LOL
