Grocery shopping is done, clothes are packed. Just have to cut the grass, get some ice, hook up the truck and head out for the weekend.

Dustin, what do you know about shifter bushings in a 1998 M3?

They need to be replaced if pounded upon...

also, it's not a hard fix.

Pelican Technical Article: Replacing BMW Shift Bushings

If you are lucky, you won't have to take out the drive shaft. BUT, if it's due (or near due) for the Guibo (driveshaft flex disc), center support bearing, or driveshaft, might as well do it and make it easier to access the shift bushings.

The guy was all out of them and was going to call if he got some more in and I have never heard back. I should call again sometime because him never calling back doesn't mean he didn't forget about me.
