Built engines in a truck?

I may get different answers elsewhere as most guys here use their trucks as work trucks and less as toys but I finally have a garage and considered building a new engine in the future because I don't have space for a 4th vehicle and the truck is fun to work on.

If I go that route, I would go slightly inexpensive with it and find a decent 351w block, freshen it up with a 393 crank, a custom grind cam, trick flow heads and intake all through a zf tranny. I'd do a maf conversion at the same time and hopefully be happy with the power at that point.

Anyone ever consider this? It would be putting down around 400hp 450tq to the wheels so it would be able to do all the work I need and have enough power to pass people on the highway.

This also wouldn't be nearly as involved as swaps I've done in the past.
