Parts Needed for 1954 F100
Good morning everyone! I'm needing to track down some original parts. Maybe someone on here can point me in the right direction. Granted I've just started looking, but I haven't had much luck yet.
Original Parts Needed.....
1. Oil dipstick for 223 6 cylinder
2. Trans inspection cover for light duty 3 speed manual trans
3. A nice... not dented and bent up original 54 grill (Mine is fixable but I'm hoping to find a nicer original one.)
4. Drivers side rear fender without the spare tire cutout. My truck is rust colored now and would love to find a similar condition fender with the same patina just without the cutout. Probably a long shot, but what the heck....
5. 1 or 2 NICE original stainless headlight trim bezels. One of mine is pretty nice, but the other is so so. I know there are China repops available. I'm just hoping to find originals. I'm weird like that I guess. It just kills me to hang Chinese parts on my old Ford truck.
Thanks guys! This is probably the most helpful forum I'm apart of.

Thanks 53OlderThanMe! Yes, I've checked most if not all of those places. I've just noticed on here that there's a lot of folks who seem to have parts trucks, extra parts, friends with parts, etc. Just testing the waters and hoping to find some good used parts.
Thank you again for the info!

Welcome to FTE, The hardest part to find will be the grille. That part is not reproduced, what is our there is what Ford made. I found a Chrome one for my truck but that was like 10 yrs ago and cost a lot. I'd straighten yours and keep looking. My dad has figured out how to straighten and stainless trim, so it is something you could do if unable to find replacement.

Grilles from Mid-Fifty
They don't advertise it, but Mid-Fifty has a supply of used parts, including grilles. I talked to them last spring about a grille for my 54. They wanted $450 for an unrestored, painted one, plus freight. I guess that's always an option.
I went to the SuperNationals in Gatlinburg the next week and got a chromed one in very good shape for $350. It fit in the back seat on the way home.
Since that's one of the last things to go on, you might keep your eyes open and be ready when one jumps out in front of you..
