1995 f150 build thread

New member here. Starting a build thread for my truck. Its my first truck and I have big plans for it as long as I keep it. Its a 95 4x4 xl trim package with the 4.9l 300 6, manual trans. Here's how it looked when I first got it. It doesn't look too different now but I haven't been doing a whole lot to it recently. I'll put up some more recent pictures of it as well. So far what its had done- new Kenwood stereo, auto meter tach, gun rack, floor mats, new seat when we got the truck, cup holders added, tune up, all fluids changed, rear brakes rebuilt, and cant forget the real tree ap steering wheel cover . that's about all I can remember but I know there's more. Soon I'm hoping to get new wheels and tires, toolbox, and a leveling or lift kit. Haven't decided yet. Let me know what you guys think. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics

Here's some updated pics of the truck. Like I said, not a huge difference from when I got it but I haven't had a whole lot of money to spend on it.
The truck had an aftermarket stereo already in it so all I had to do was unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Took out the old saggy headliner and still haven't decided if I'll keep it with no headliner or put new fabric in.

looks great so far a lot of the things you want to do I want to do to my 88 F150. I would personally do a leveling kit with 33s or 31s.

Also put in a new reinforcement panel. LMC truck had them for $89.95 so I went to a junkyard. Turns out they didn't have any that weren't cracked like mine so they ordered me one for only $50.00 and it was brand new.

Thanks that's exactly what I was thinking about doing, a leveling kit with 31s I'll have to check out your 88

I will try to get some better exterior pics tommorow and also some of the inline 6. For now this will be a slow build but will probably pick up in another month or two. For now my main things I want to get done are
1. Wheels and tires
2. Leveling kit
3. Toolbox
4. Dual toolbox mounted cab antennas
5. Exhaust
6. Chrome grille and headlight bezels
7. New headlights
8. Carpet kit
9. Driving lights or off road lights
10. New rear bumper
The list goes on but those are some of the main things I want out of the way.

I was thinking about painting it but the paint has no scratches at all. Its basically the color of the truck just matte instead of gloss.

I was talking about under the headliner only not the whole truck that way you don't have bare metal and you don't have rust issues later on with it off. My 88 F150 and our 86 F150 both have painted roofs with no headliner and even here in AZ it doesn't get that hot.

I was also talking about the head liner only the truck is not old enough in my opinion to paint. I'll only paint a truck that I'm going to restore

Couldn't get good quality pics with my phone today but got some of the huge hole in the floor on the driver side. I'm hoping to fix this when putting new carpet in. Its not a major concern since the floor mats cover it up nicely. I can't figure out why the hole is even there. Don't think its possible for a truck with 131k miles to have a hole in the floor from wear. I see wires cut too

Best recent pictures of the truck that I have.

And a picture of the tach at night. I really like the red led instead of the white one that came with it.
