I'd do a road trip to CT no problem. I think I can still swing around to avoid most of the traffic to get there.

Hi,

If there was a closer pull spot, I would try to work it into my schedule. As long as no one gets hurt. No one's truck gets damaged. No one's property is destroyed. Then it is all good. I will have to ask around here in Northern NJ if anyone knows of of low traffic, steep back roads for something like there. The trailer and stone is would probably not be a problem.

A trip to CT is more doable than a trip to Ohio. I mapped it out. 3 hours vs 7.5 hours. Plus I might be able to get some of my friends on board for a trip too.

Cool maybe I can make it this year. I attempted to go a couple times a few years back, think it was Crazzy001 or something like that I had talked too a few times. As long as I am not working that weekend (50/50 chance) I should be able to go. Live near Mt Vernon so not too far. Havent been on the forums much in the last couple years.

Never pulled much more than 8-10k, and never started out on a hill either. Have y'all ever had a handshaker in the mix? Thats one heck of a load to start on a hill, but I'd give it a whirl with the V10 and handshaker. I rarely ever get to use the granny gear so it needs some action!

Id be interested to see how a manual would do compared to auto. Im guessing here but I doubt you'd be shifting much. haha I only used 2 gears when I ran my truck.

Well when I only poke around on the forums a couple times a year I tend to resurrect some threads.

Yeah but going into just the first gear might be kinda rough! I'm not sure how the final drive ratios compared, but with the granny gear and my tiny tires I wouldn't be surprised if I shifted at least once more than some.

Ahh ok then About the last thing I remember was when your wife wrecked the white truck. Hope there wasnt any long term injuries.

I've got to say I'm impressed with the ecoboost. I could easily get by with a half ton and did for many years (though with the one ton I do have a tendency to load er up, but could probably trailer the weight instead of hauling it if needed). Would certainly help on gas on my 80mi daily commute unloaded on the highway. If only I could get a cc/8'/stick.
